[Solved] Carburettor vs fuel injector in a petrol engine

I was revising some combined science questions then I met these questions. I couldn't find anything in any textbook I use. So pliz help me.

 

1. State the role of a fuel injector in morden petrol engines.

2. State the role of a carburettor in old petrol engines.

3. State the advantage of a fuel injector over a carburettor.

1. To inject fuel into the combustion chamber.

2. To mix petrol and air in correct ratios to form the petrol-air mixture that is fed to the engine.

3. Fuel injectors provide the same amount of petrol to all cylinders leading to a more efficient engine unlike a carburettor which has uneven fuel distribution.
